A new grant funding opportunity to expand bed-based substance use treatment and recovery services is now open for application by eligible service providers.

The Province is investing $13.5 million in grant funding to increase the number of community-based, publicly funded treatment and recovery beds across British Columbia. More than ever, people who use substances must be able to access these services, if and when they need them.
The Canadian Mental Health Association, BC Division (CMHA BC), in consultation with the Community Action Initiative, Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions, health authorities and other partners, is administering this grant call.
Funding is available to licensed or registered not-for-profit or private service providers providing high-quality, evidence-informed bed-based treatment and recovery services to expand publicly funded beds over a 3-year period (from 2021-2024).
Service providers that are able to address current gaps in care to target populations, including rural/remote communities and small population centres, are particularly encouraged to apply.
