Vancouver, BC – (April 11, 2025): The Canadian Mental Health Association, BC Division (CMHA BC) has announced it is working closely with the Board of CMHA Vancouver-Fraser Branch to support a formal restructuring process in response to ongoing financial challenges at the branch.
In recent years, many non-profit organizations across British Columbia have faced growing fiscal pressures due to economic uncertainty. CMHA Vancouver-Fraser is no exception, and, after extensive review, its Board has made the difficult but necessary decision to initiate formal restructuring proceedings.
CMHA BC Division is taking decisive leadership action to preserve critical mental health and substance use services in the region and to minimize disruption to staff, clients, and partners through a process that allows for a thoughtful and sustainable reorganization. Together with funders and stakeholders, CMHA BC is working to transition essential services under its direct oversight.

The Division is committed to ongoing communication with staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners to maintain transparency, stability, and services.
