Everyone deserves an equal chance at the best possible mental health.
But many people don’t have access to the foundations that would allow them to attain their best mental health.
It’s about more than access to health services.
We also need:
- to be a valued and equal member of the community
- social connections and a sense of belonging
- to be able to meet our needs – for a safe secure place to live, enough income, meaningful work – without constant stress or fear
Too often, people experiencing mental illness or substance use disorder face barriers to services such as housing or income supports. At CMHA BC Division, we are speaking up with people experiencing mental illness or substance use disorder, and calling for service barriers to be removed.
Your donation helps us open doors.
Your support helps us speak up for laws and policies that remove intended and unintended service barriers, and open doors to the belonging and connection we all need to recover and stay well.
Giving feels good. And your gift is especially important right now.
